When you complete any form, speak with our staff or submit any details to us, we will collect, use and process your personal information in the manner described in this Privacy Policy. We respect the privacy of our online guests and registered users (“Users”), as such we will take reasonable steps to protect your Personal Information.

iRecharge tech-innovations Ltd hereinafter ( ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’) is a payment solutions company focused on providing digital alternatives, automated financial services and enhanced enterprise business applications. These services are provided across various channels including websites, mobile application or any other digital platforms. This Privacy Policy statement provides all persons and organizations whose Personal Information we hold with a description of the type of Personal Information we collect, the purposes for which we collect that Personal Information, the other parties with whom we may share it and the measures we take to ensure the security of data when they use our platform, subscribe to any of our products or services.
CONSENT:
You accept this Privacy Policy when you give consent upon accessing our platform or using our services, content, features, technologies or functions offered on our website, mobile application (APPS), digital platforms, messaging services, using our live chat feature or visiting any of our offices for official or non-official purposes.
This Policy governs the use of our services by our users and other stakeholders unless otherwise agreed through a written contract. We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a revised version on our website or placing such notice at conspicuous points at our office facilities. The revised version will be effective 7-days after publication.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
The information we collect about you may be:- Personal data such as name, age, gender, email address, profile picture (images), telephone number, postal/delivery address, Relationship affiliations with a person or organization, Financial data such as bank account details but limited to bank name, account name and account number. Further information such as your Bank Verification Number and National Identification number. You may update your personally identifiable information on our platform at any time by contacting Customer Service or accessing your account profile online. Such information will be updated immediately, while others may require further verification before it is updated.
- When you use any of our Platforms from a computer, mobile phone, or other device, we may collect information sent to us by your computer, mobile phone or other electronic access device. The automatically collected information includes but is not limited to data about the pages you access, computer IP address, device ID or unique identifier, device type, geo-location information, computer and connection information, mobile network information, statistics on page views, traffic to and from the sites, referral URL, ad data, standard web log data, still and moving images.
- When using our mobile applications, we ask for access to your phone contacts so you may more easily make payments to people in your phone contacts via the mobile application. We also give you the additional option to opt-in for your contacts to be uploaded to our servers. By uploading your contacts to our servers, you can now access your phone contacts on other iRecharge channels for ease of transacting with people in your contacts. We will only upload to our servers if you give us additional explicit permission. We will not share your contacts with any 3rd party.
HOW WE GET YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND WHY WE HAVE IT
The Personal Information we have about you is directly made available to us when you:- Sign up for an iRecharge Account on any of our platforms;
- Use any of our services: we collect such information regarding the transaction such as (the transaction details, device details, geolocation)
- Access our Platforms or visit our office.
- Fill out our online forms;
- Contact us or send us any correspondence via our channels and social media platforms.
- Respond to calls we make to you and correspondence we send to you ;
- Apply for a job with us.
We do not collect, process or store the details of Minors (persons below the age of 18) as they are not eligible to use our services.
The lawful basis we rely on for processing your Personal Information are:- Your consent; Where you agree to us collecting your Personal Information and by using our Services.
- We have a contractual obligation: Without your Personal Information, we cannot provide our Services to you.
- We have a legal obligation: To ensure we are fully compliant with all applicable financial legislations such as Nigerian Data Protection Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing Laws, we must collect and store your Personal Information. We protect against fraud by verifying your identity with your Personal Information.
- Legitimate business interests: where necessary, for us to understand our customers and promote our services. This is done legitimately with the protection of your privacy and rights in consideration.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU FROM THIRD PARTIES.
Sometimes we may collect information about you from third parties such as credit/debit Card Companies or processors, banks, social media sites and payment gateway. The information we receive varies and is controlled by the third-party site or application. By associating an account managed by a third party with your iRecharge account and authorizing iRecharge to have access to this information, you agree that iRecharge may collect, store and use this information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Like many other websites, we use cookies to identify you as a user and to customize and improve our services. By using our services, you agree that we can place these types of cookies on your device. A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to your computer or mobile device. - Detect, prevent or remediate violations of Laws, Regulations, Standards, Guidelines and Frameworks.

HOW WE STORE AND PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
We store and process your information on our server. We protect your information from illegal and unauthorized access through the use of physical, technical and administrative security measures some of which are the use of firewalls, data encryption, physical access controls to our database and information access authorization controls. To effectively protect your information, do not share your card details or email account details with anyone. Where we need to transfer your data to another country, such a country must have an adequate data protection law. We will seek your consent when we need to send your data to a country without an adequate data protection law.
HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTY
We disclose your information with third parties only in ways described in this policy. We do not and will never sell your information to any third party. We require these third parties to not use your information for any other purpose.- We may disclose your information such as payment details, name, transaction details etc. for payment processing.
- We may disclose your information to a prospective shareholder of iRecharge.
- We may disclose your information to the police, other law enforcement bodies, or regulatory bodies as long as a court order is provided for such information.
- We may disclose or share your Personal Information with third parties which include our affiliates, employees, officers, service providers, agents, suppliers, and subcontractors as may be reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this policy and such persons be held under strict requirement of confidentiality.
- Third-party social media sites that you have chosen to share your membership information with. For example, if you wish to have your membership of the iRecharge Platform shared on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.
- Third-party service providers for CRM, cloud hosting, analytics.
- WhatsApp and Meta Platforms to facilitate communication via API.
WHAT WE SHARE WITH THIRD PARTY
We do not sell your personal information to any third party We may share certain information about you with a third party that you extend that right or privilege to. In the event, iRecharge is bought or we have new investors, your personal information will be provided to the new buyer or investor. Your data may be used to track usage or sales patterns of the providing party or parties to generate any reports providing insight into operations or business processes.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
- You are solely responsible for entering correct customer details into the platform before transferring money, paying bills or purchasing virtual products.
- You are responsible for any charge that the use of mobile internet connection/Wi-Fi may incur while using iRecharge
- You are responsible for keeping the iRecharge plug / mobile application/ desktop application up- to-date.
YOUR RIGHTS
We recognize your privacy rights in the operation of our business and also your rights to the necessary information in making an informed decision about your data. By You have the following rights law:- Right to be Informed: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: You can request us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Object to Processing: You can object to how we use your data, in certain situations. You can also request that we limit the way we use your data.
- Right to Data Portability: You can request a copy of your data in a format that allows you to easily move it to another service provider.
- Right to be Forgotten: You have the right to request that your data with us be deleted.
- Right in Relation to Automated Decision Making (which essentially entitles you to human intervention).
- Right to withdraw Consent: You have a right to withdraw at any time, and consent to the processing of your data.

DATA SECURITY AND RETENTION.
iRecharge recognizes the importance of protecting data from unauthorised access and data corruption and the Company has:- Developed security measures including but not limited to protecting systems from hackers
- Set up firewalls and protected all email systems
- Set up measures to store data securely with access to specific authorised individuals.
- Deployed data encryption technologies
- Developed organizational policy for handling personal data and other sensitive or confidential data.
We will retain your Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes of rendering the services, or other uses set out in this Privacy Policy or in accordance with our regulatory obligation.
Some sensitive details such as Credit/Debit cards, pins or tokens of customers will not be stored but will be used for payment processing only at the time of the transaction.
DATA BREACHES
In the event of a violation of your privacy, we shall immediately notify you of any breach of your data privacy where such breach will likely result in high risks to your freedoms and rights.
We shall also take active steps to remedy any such violations including taking the necessary measures to restrict further access to your data, the deletion of your data or limit the processing of your data.
UPDATES, MODIFICATIONS & AMENDMENTS
We may need to update, modify or amend our Privacy Policy as our technology evolves and as required by law. We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time and notify Users of material changes. We advise that you check this page often, In the event that modifications have been made to the policy.
If a user objects to any of the changes to this Privacy Policy, the user must cease using this Site, or terminate their account in the event an account has been created. If iRecharge becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, we will provide notice before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
APPLICABLE LAWS
This privacy policy is governed by the Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and other relevant legislation including the Nigerian Data Protection Act 2023.
